Our Mission
Adolescence is a time of questioning, self-discovery, discernment and exploration. During this time, many adolescents begin to wonder what life is really about and how they fit into the puzzle. The formation of adolescent faith can be particularly difficult in a culture where choice plays a significant role in self-discovery. Choice is certainly a wonderful thing, but in regard to faith formation, it does present a host of challenges. Passing on faith to the next generation used to be a relatively simple task – it was something that occurred almost naturally – today, adolescents have the option to choose their faith. Our society has shifted and favors individual choice of religion that is highly personal and less connected to the traditions that are associated with religious institutions. At Emanuel Christian Church, we believe that we can bridge the gap in adolescent faith formation by demonstrating that our congregation makes a big difference in the faith of the lives of younger generations – both during their adolescence and on into adulthood.
Our Duty
At Emanuel Christian Church, we believe that it is our duty to transform the adolescent generation by helping them foster their understanding of the Christian faith. Our Adolescent Generation Transformation Ministry aims to help our youth answer the questions that they have, guide them through their exploration and self-discovery and help them recognize the important role that the lessons of Jesus Christ and the principles of the Christian faith play in their life. Children are born with an innate sense of wonder and faith that is real and authentic. Our Children's ministry offers q comfortable, non- pressure and welcoming space and uses the founding principles of Christianity to build a life of learning and growth toward a mature and vital faith.
Our Adolescent Community
Our entire congregation understands the important needs of our adolescent community. We work together, as a whole, bringing every generation together to value the importance of the Christian faith.
General Information
By offering a non-pressure, inviting environment, our youth have the opportunity to learn the values of the Christian faith from our congregation and discover how those values play a vital role in shaping who they are today – and who they will be tomorrow. We offer dynamic opportunities, including engaging programs and events that encourage our youth to grasp the importance of faith, not only for them, but for their entire community.
